bleu was founded by husband and wife team Chloë and Brenton combining Chloë’s knowledge of architecture and design with Brenton’s retail and business management expertise.

Chloë is a practicing architect whose design lineage offers a point of difference to the retail environment. The pair are committed to bringing products of enduring design made of tactile, authentic materials to bleu.

bleu opened in Newtown, Geelong in April 2021. The light-filled store on Pakington Street is a welcoming space with an interior fit-out designed by Chloë.

The minimalist yet warm interior is filled with modular birch plywood furniture that aligns with the ethos of being beautiful and adaptive. The pieces have been designed to be easily assembled without the need for glue or mechanical fixings and can be pulled apart, transported and put back together. Being modular, ensures the components can be arranged in multiple ways to display a variety of products.
